Bio
Francesco Sultana is one of the last remaining craftsman on the island that makes and plays traditional folk woodwind instruments such as the Maltese fifra (flute) and żummara (reedpipe) and the rare żaqq (bagpipe). Small percussion instruments such as the żafżafa/rabbaba (friction drum) can also be crafted.
