Bio

Multidisciplinary visual artist, stage designer. Her practice combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary art, exploring sustainability, cultural heritage, and community participation. She creates handmade art dolls, upcycled clothing, jewellery, and immersive installations using recycled materials and light. In recent years, she has also explored Maltese bobbin lace, collaborating with local communities to reinterpret this traditional craft through contemporary artistic practice. Her work often brings together artists, craftspeople, and the public in participatory workshops and large-scale installations that celebrate creativity, environmental awareness, and cultural exchange. Through projects such as *Flowers of Light* and
Threads of Heritage*, Petya transforms everyday materials and traditional techniques into meaningful artistic experiences that connect people, places, and stories.
