My practice engages with the collection and deconstruction of pre-loved garments, repurposing their material components into handwoven textiles. Each fragment is treated as a vessel of memory, acknowledging the emotional and cultural narratives embedded within fabric. This process foregrounds themes of conscious consumption and sustainability, offering a critique of the disposability promoted by fast fashion. By integrating traditional weaving techniques with contemporary design approaches, the work not only reduces textile waste but also proposes a slower, more reflective engagement with fashion. Through this methodology, I seek to reframe discarded clothing as meaningful material, imbued with personal and collective histories.
