I am a crafts person mainly interested in beadwork, and regularly attend The Lifelong Learning School in Msida . It\\'s here that l have learnt about the art of beadwork, the various techniques such a herringbone stitch, circular/ flat peyote stitch, right angle weave, netting, fringing, and square stitch among others. Learning how to read and assemble different patterns needs lots of time and practice, and a good teacher . I started on small projects such as brooches , jewelery and necklaces . Then by time l tried my hand at more difficult, intricate items. Being in a class with people of the same interest has helped me a lot, we often work on big projects where everyone is assigned a task , and teamwork is important for the project to come together. This hobby and craft is both therapeutic and very enjoyable.
